Mental May Monday

Never underestimate the state of euphoria! I'm speaking from experience. Your mood is so elevated, all your senses are heightened (ALL of them...), you act on impulse (don't go shopping... don't even browse Amazon). You feel like you don't need sleep (you do trust me). I've had my share of late night flights. Followed by early morning regret. #adulting. Staying up all night feels different when you are your child's ride to school.

It's so easy to lose sight of reality when you are working on a feeling. Problems seem more insignificant, people don't irk us as much, and we feel like we have it all figured out. Don't get sucked into the illusion. While a vacation, relationship, or whatever your euphoric trigger is, will have you on cloud nine... Remember there is still land below. That issue still needs to be worked out, that dude still aint it, you still need your job, and responsibilities still exist.

Do what is healthy for your well being, be happy but never harmful. Do what you need to do to get back to you!
