A BEGINNING JOURNEY TO OOHHMMM!!

MEDITATION IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF MY LIFE. I HAVE SO MUCH GOING ON BETWEEN PARENTING AND EVERYDAY LIFE THAT I NEEDED TO TAKE A MOMENT TO MYSELF. I TRIED DIFFERENT MEANS OF RELAXING, AND SOME OF THEM WORKED, BUT NOTHING RESONATED WITH ME MORE THAN MEDITATION. THERE'S MORE TO IT THEN SITTING WITH YOUR LEGS CROSSED AND CHANTING. THERE ARE ACTUALLY SOME HEALTH BENEFITS INCLUDING LOWER BLOOD PRESSURE, LESS STRESS, DEEPER RELAXATION, AND IT HELPS REMOVE THE FEELING TO HIT PEOPLE WITH CARS :).

HERE'S SOME TIPS TO GET YOU STARTED:


  1. HAVE A CLEAR MOTIVE FOR YOUR MEDITATION! THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF MEDITATION... POSITIVE THINKING, BLOCKING NEGATIVE THINKING, ALIGNING CHAKRAS, AND SOOO MANY MORE. IT HELPS TO KNOW YOUR PURPOSE BEFORE STARTING TO GET YOU IN THE RIGHT MINDFRAME.

  2. GET INTO A COMFORTABLE AND QUIET ENVIRONMENT! THE ATMOSPHERE WILL SET THE TONE. SOOTHING MUSIC IS HELPFUL.

  3. BRRREEEAATTHEE! DUH RIGHT. SEEMS SIMPLE ENOUGH BUT ITS IMPERATIVE TO BE IN TUNE WITH YOUR BREATHING INHALE AND EXHALE UNTIL YOU DEVELOP A RHYTHM.

  4. START SLOW! 3-5 MINUTES FOR STARTERS. THIS WILL GIVE YOU A SENSE OF HOW IT WILL BE AND TRAIN YOUR MIND AND BODY TO GET INTO THE ROUTINE.

  5. RELAX! DON'T TRY TO FORCE YOUR MIND TO CLEAR THAT WILL HAPPEN IN DUE TIME. DONT FORCE YOURSELF TO TRY TO REACH A PEAK. EJPY AND BE IN THE MOMENT.
